Betty L. Crossley

January 26, 1928 — August 12, 2021

Betty (Baker) Crossley, age 93, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on August 12, 2021. She was born January 26, 1928 to Jess and Sophia (Beth) Baker near Whiting, IA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Leonard Crossley; sister Eileen Cutler; brothers, Harold and Robert Baker. Betty is survived by sons, Donald (Maxine) Crossley and Jim (Andi) Crossley; daughter, Joan Collins; sister, Donna (Jake) Collins; three grandchildren, Heather Crossley (Ryan Sadler), Hillary Martin (Michael) and Michelle Johnson-Collins (Mathew Johnson); four great grandchildren, Sidney, Griffin and George Martin and Merrett Johnson-Collins; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Betty had been looking forward to meeting her fifth great grandchild, Baby Lou Johnson Collins

Her legacy will be the love and support she had for her husband Leonard, and how she touched, on a daily basis, the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and relatives, as well as friends and acquaintances. Betty impacted the lives of many people, in so many ways. Each will cherish and carry those memories of her forever. Betty was a life-long member of the Christian Church, and was an active member of Eastside Christian Church.

There will be a Visitation held from 2:00 p.m.. – 4:00 p.m. at Hoy Kilnoski Community Room on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

Graveside Service Friday, October 1, 2021 9:00 a.m. at Omaha National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers or memorials the family asks that we all hold those we love close and remember those who have gone on ahead.

The family would like to thank EveryStep Hospice, especially, Sally, Sam and Evon.
