Dale L. Rasmussen

Dale L. Rasmussen, age 78, of Council Bluffs passed away June 28, 2014 at his home. He was born in Griswold, Iowa on February 12, 1936 to the late John & Irene (Petty) Rasmussen. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and then retired after a career at the Omaha Livestock Market. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Rasmussen; brother, Dennis Rasmussen; sisters, Velma Baldwin, Doris Rasmussen and Lois Railsbach. Dale is survived by his children, Denise McMillen (Donn Fricke), Dale M. Rasmussen (Megan Kluver), Dawn Rice (Lee), Debbie Robertson (Shawn); sister, Helen Sell; brothers, Dean Rasmussen (Betty) and Charles Rasmussen (Evelyn); grandchildren and great grandchildren; puppies, Paulie & Blue. Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
