David A. Pelegrin

April 5, 1969 — December 18, 2022

David Alan Pelegrin, 53, passed away December 18th, 2022, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was a beloved father, brother, son, and friend.

Born in Columbus, Georgia on April 5th, 1969, to Robert Pelegrin and Roberta Hoyt. He graduated from Huron High School in 1987 and after graduation enrolled in the United States Air Force. Serviced for 25 years as an USAF Airmen and continued within the Reserve for several more years until 2019.


David married Venita Delahoussey on December 21st, 1991, in D ’Iberville, Mississippi. He was stationed at Kessler Air Force Base for the majority of his military career. Together they have four beautiful children, Christian (1995), Anastassia (1998), Brennen (2002), and Abrielle (2004).


He is remembered by many as a motorcycle enthusiast, avid music lover, and by is own proclamations a fixer of anything. He had a collection of parts for everything. He was a loving brother that was always kind growing up and was always willing to teach you everything he knew, from chess, to cars, to grilling all with that big smile on his face and his big dimples showing. He welcomed all and loved spending time with his family and friends.


He loved his family. He would talk for hours with the boys related to cars, four wheeling with the family, and sit with the girls to watch The Voice. He was there to offer advice and perspective, sometimes when you didn’t want to hear it and many times, he would offer it twice. He is known for his stubbornness, but always that he loved deeply. As a husband, he cherished the time to reconnect and take his wife out on his motorcycle. It was always then you would see that big smile that was an instant reminder of the love he had for all that knew him.


He is survived by Venita Pelegrin, children Christian (Amanda), Anastassia, Brennen, and Abrielle. Grandchildren Matthew, Sawyer, and Brinley. He had many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.


David proceeded in death by his father and his grandparents.


Private family services will be held.
