David M. Massie

David M. Massie, age 59, passed away September 21, 2017 in Atlantic, Iowa. He was born November 27, 1957 in Gary, IN to the late Dale Sr. and Patricia (Hultquist) Massie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Massie.

He is survived by three brothers, Dale Jr. (Sharon), Mike (Stephanie), and Robert; two sisters, Pat (Ray) Law and Suzanne Close; many nieces and nephews and his close R.E.M. family.

Visitation Saturday, 1-2 p.m., with the funeral service to begin at 2 p.m. all at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Burial will be in Garner Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to R.E.M. Iowa Community Services, Inc., 808 E 7th St., Atlantic, IA 50022 in David’s name.
