Donald G. Atchley

Donald G. Atchley, age 77, of Council Bluffs passed away December 30, 2016.

He was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky on February 26, 1939 to the late Henry E. and Kessie C. (Huckaby) Atchley. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for many years at Jackson Home Appliance and was a member of First Christian Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda.

Donald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence “Flossie” Atchley; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kristyn Atchley, Geoffrey and Noelle Atchley; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jeff Kubitz; sister, Lucille Garrett; 6 grandsons and host of other family and friends.

Funeral service is 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, with visitation during the hour prior to the service. Entombment is in the Ridgewood Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church Music Department, Heartland Christian School Athletics Department or S.O.L.A.S.
