Donald L. Swanger

Donald L. Swanger, age 86, passed away August 23, 2016. He was born in Harrison County on April 15, 1930. He graduated from Logan High School and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as an installation technician for Western Electric. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newell and Zella (Stephens) Swanger, his son, Donnie Swanger, granddaughters, Stephanie Hulbert and Michelle Martin; seven siblings. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Verlee Swanger; one son, Eddie Swanger; four daughters, Paula Hurlbert, Becky Garges (Gary), Marlene Terpenning and Meleah Martin (Gary); 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation is Friday, 11:00a.m. to 12:00pm at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 12:00PM. Interment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
