Donna Marie Wilson

Donna Marie Wilson, age 93, of Risen Son Christian Village passed into the loving arms of Jesus on May 22, 2023.

Donna was born to the late C. Lloyd and Theresa (Petersen) Jones on August 11, 1929 in Council Bluffs Iowa. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1947. She married William D. Wilson on April 11, 1947. They were blessed with four children.

They moved often with the Air Force and Donna worked as a legal secretary in four states. The family lived in Iowa, Colorado, California, Texas and Italy over the years, returning to Council Bluffs upon retirement.

She was a long-time member of First Christian Church and was a volunteer with many organizations. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by her husband, daughter Lisa, brother Paul Jones and sister B Jeanne Strong.

Donna is survived by sons Jeff (Teresa) of Papillon and Mark (Corinne) of Omaha, daughter Theresa (Mark) Bowerman of Council Bluffs, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Mary Lou Kirk of California and many friends and family.

Memorial service will be held at Risen Son Christian Village on Tuesday May 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM. The family will direct memorials in her honor.
