Frances E. "Sis" Riggs

Frances E. "Sis" Riggs, age 93, passed away August 23, 2022.

She was born March 23, 1929, to the late Amos and Laura (Strayer) Schumann in Council Bluffs, IA. Frances retired from the Council Bluffs Community School District as a secretary at Thomas Jefferson. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivyl Riggs; son, David Riggs; brother, Elmer Schumann; sister, Barbara "Boots" Senter; grandson, Paul Schiller.

Frances is survived by her children, Connie (Brad) Schiller and Jerrad Riggs; brother, Wayne (Marilyn) Schumann; grandchildren, Terri (Fred) Welch, Angi (Chris) Redd, Eric (Kelly) Schiller, Brandy (Tim) Bach; great grandchildren, Jenna Welch, Delanie Welch, Jack Redd, Dylan Redd, Ryan Bach, Cali Bach, and Brett Schiller; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Interment is in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Bethany Presbyterian Church.
