Gaylee L. Anderson

Gaylee Laurel Anderson, age 84, passed away April 23, 2023.

She was born on April 14, 1939 in Gowrie, Iowa to the late Larry and Maude (Decker) Sellstrom. She graduated from Gowrie High School, and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Teaching from Iowa State University. She worked at various schools over the years. Gaylee married Jay Anderson on December 28, 1963. She enjoyed a variety of things including rug hooking, quilting, antiquing, jewelry beading, gardening, and cooking. She was also an animal lover.

Gaylee was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jay; sons, J.D. Anderson (Michelle), Jim Anderson (Tracy); grandchildren, Taylor, Clayton, Kate, Abby, and Cole; and a host of other family and friends.

It was her wish to be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.
