Gerald I. Goos

Gerald I. Goos, age 82 of Treynor passed away at his home on February 19, 2013. He was born in Council Bluffs on May 7, 1930 to the late Irvin & Olga (Bebense) Goos. He graduated from Treynor High School and farmed his entire life. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Alan Goos; sisters, Luella Kessler and Marcella Goos; brothers, Gilbert Goos and Delmar Goos. Gerald is survived by his wife, Shirlene to whom he married August 8, 1949; children, Neil Goos (Nancy), Gere Harmon (Max), Connie Andersen (Steve), Joan Goos-Saar, Cindy Buckingham (Keevan), Greg Goos (Vicki), LuAnn Freese (Raymond); sisters, Eileen Graalfs (Ron), Darlene Kerber (Marvin); brother, Don Goos; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Goos; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation is Friday 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Zion Congregational Church in Treynor followed by burial in the church cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Zion Congregational Church.
