Hayley Veronica Slate

Hayley Veronica Slate, age 35, passed away on February 5, 2021

Hayley was born October 28, 1985, to Russell and Faye (Peterson) Slate in Palmer, Alaska.

Her family moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, in 1990. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 2004. She also attended Iowa Western Community College. Hayley worked as a professional makeup artist for 13 years at MAC cosmetics.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Dolores Slate; and maternal grandparents, William and Pearl Peterson.

Hayley is survived by her parents; sisters, Angela (Patrick) Watkins, Whitney Slate and her fiancée Cody Hobbs, Shannon (Mike) Hobbs; nieces, Ava and Ana Watkins; nephews, Grayson, Ayden, and Hudson Hobbs; uncles; aunts; cousins; and many friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, July 17th, 2021 at St. John's United Church of Christ (400 Cloverdale Drive-Council Bluffs). Any donations can be directed to Make A Wish or Autism Speaks.
