Jeff Chullino

November 7, 1972 — November 26, 2021

Jeff Chullino, 49, of Carter Lake, Iowa, passed November 26, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer, at home and surrounded by family.

Born November 7, 1972, to Tim and Jo Chullino (Shrader) at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, NE, Jeff was the oldest of three siblings.

A lifelong Carter Lake resident, Jeff spent his childhood fishing, water skiing, swimming with his brother and sister, playing soccer and riding his bike with friends. Jeff spent his high school years at Thomas Jefferson HS playing football, driving his car too fast and never missing a party. After graduating TJ in 1991, Jeff attended Northwest Missouri State University.

As an adult Jeff tried his hand at various careers before finding a job he loved at The Nebraska Medical Center. As a senior service technician, Jeff kept the lights on and the equipment running for over 15 years.

In addition to the quick wit and huge heart that was obvious to everyone, Jeff was also an artist, a master of jigsaw puzzles, a skilled handyman and a sucker for those ASPCA commercials asking for donations to save abused animals.

Jeff’s sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him. At one time when his room was particularly crowded with caregivers, Jeff opened his eyes, scanned the room slowly and asked if it was an intervention.

Jeff is survived by his parents Tim and Jo Chullino of Carter Lake, his brother Bob Chullino, sister Mikki (Isaac) Tighe, niece Sophia, nephew Zach and countless friends who Jeff considered as family.

Jeff will be remembered as a beloved son, wonderful brother, a great friend, and generous uncle.

If you would like to honor the memory of this great man, go fishing, have a drink with a buddy, hug your family or anything else that would make Jeff smile.

Services will be held at a later date.
