Jeffery Guy Nowlin

Jeffery Guy Nowlin, age 64, passed away at CHI Health Mercy Hospital February 11, 2022. He was born November 16, 1957 to Guy Nowlin and Ruby (Adkins) Hunt in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He joined the United States Air Force in 1976 and retired in 1998. Following retirement he worked at First Data Resources as a programmer. After a stroke in 2016 he went into disability retirement. He remained at home with his family until he passed away.


He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Nowlin; step-father, Bob Hunt; brother, James Dorr Nowlin.

Jeffery is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth "Suzi" Nowlin; son, Mathew (Mary) Nowlin and ex-wife, Lynne Nowlin; mother, Ruby Hunt; siblings, David Nowlin, Connie (Bud) Beebe and Roy (Judi) Nowlin; sister-in-law, Brenda Nowlin; grandchildren, Alora, Elizabeth, Haley, Heather and Lily; many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.


Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2022 with a prayer service starting at 6:00 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, February 19, 2022 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4 Valley View Dr, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.


Interment will be held at Lewis Township Cemetery with Military honors


The family will direct memorials.
