John Kannedy

John Kannedy, age 75, passed away peacefully in Council Bluffs, IA, on July 4, 2021. He was born March 20, 1946 to Ira and Stella (Williamson) Kannedy in Council Bluffs, IA. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. John was a General Labor Foreman for Peter Kiewit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Arthur and Ira (Junior); sisters Charlotte Vaughn and Delores Sales.
John is survived by his wife Judy Kannedy; son Shawn (Michelle); daughter Shelia (Johnny) Boykin and Stacey Payne; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother David (Teri); sisters Lois (Archie "Itch") Brown and Joyce (Dennis) Sanders; brother-in-laws Mervin (Noonie) and Jerry Baxter; a host of nieces and nephews; and long time childhood friend and partner in crime Dennis Agnew.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 07, 2021.
Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Omaha National Cemetery on Thursday, July 8, 2021. The family requests memorials to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
