Joyce J. Barritt

Joyce J. Barritt, age 89, passed away December 24, 2016 at Bethany Lutheran Home.

She was born in McClelland, Iowa on October 29, 1927 to the late Emil and Hulda (Peterson)Goldapp. Joyce graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and worked for many years as a tour guide at the General Dodge House. Joyce was also active in the Red Cross. She was a lifeguard, taught swimming lessons and had been a synchronized swimmer.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, Elmer; her sons, Randy (Linda), Ron and Todd Barritt; her daughter, Lori (Ryan) Kolpin; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, 10 a.m., with the funeral starting at 11 a.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hazel Dell Cemetery.
