Karen J. Stonehouse

Karen J. Stonehouse, age 73, of Crescent, Iowa passed away at her home on November 2, 2016.

She was born in Carroll, Iowa on November 17, 1942 to the late George and Mary Jane (Larson) Gawley. Karen was a radiation therapy technician and retired from Jennie Edmundson Hospital. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Gawley.

Karen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas Stonehouse; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Julie Stonehouse, Matthew and Erin Stonehouse; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Randall Heimgartner; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Pat Gawley; grandchildren, Christopher Heimgartner, Anna Stonehouse, Andrew Heimgartner, Jane Stonehouse, Thomas Stonehouse, William Stonehouse, Samuel Stonehouse and Benjamin Stonehouse

Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Friday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00a.m. on Saturday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church – 1 Bluff Street in Council Bluffs. Interment is in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Irwin, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Southwest Iowa or Wings of Hope.
