L. Lloyd Jerome

L. Lloyd Jerome, age 90, of Council Bluffs passed away May 7, 2018.

He was born in Centerville, Iowa on October 14, 1927 to the late Samuel and True (Freeman) Jerome.

Lloyd graduated from Centerville High School with the class of 1945. He attended college at the Centerville Junior College and later, Parsons College. Lloyd retired from the Council Bluffs Community School District after 39 years. He also served in the National Guard for 34 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wilson Jerome and sister, Florence Sanders.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Jerome; children, Mary Beth Hummel (James), Lori Ann Jerome, John Christopher Jerome (Erin), Aaron Daniel Jerome; grandchildren, Emily Hummel, Ami Kellogg (Ryan), Kathleen Hummel (Sean Nienow), Skylar Jerome, Alexis Jerome, Aubraya Jerome, Samuel Jerome; great grandson, Parker Kellogg.

Visitation is 6-8PM on Monday May 14, 2018. Memorial service is 11AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be later that afternoon in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
