Lavon Brockman

LaVon M. Brockman, age 78, passed away peacefully at her home.

She was born February 1, 1944, to the late Roland and Regina (Nusser) Zuch in Council Bluffs, IA. LaVon graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. She had worked at Martin Drug, Iowa Western Community College, Nebraska Medicine, and Wal-Mart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Ronald Brockman; stepfather, Marvin Lubbe; sister, Pauline Longnecker; son-in-law, Allen Alsman; grandson, Zachary Alsman.

LaVon is survived by her children, Jo Alsman (Terry Rice), Loretta Coffman (Brad), and Byron Brockman (Diane); siblings, Charles Zuch (Beverly) and Janet Henke (Robert); brother-in-law, Ron Longnecker; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, November 7, 2022. There will be an Eastern Star Service that evening at 7:00 PM.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. 

Memorials are suggested to Treynor Fire and Rescue or Amber Lodge at Carson, Iowa.
