Lafayette Antonio Dawon Reed

November 22, 1987 — May 5, 2015

Lafayette Antonio (Tony) Reed was the oldest son born to the union of Lafayette Reed, Jr. and Keshia Rene Reed on November 22, 1987. Tony loved church and hungered for the Word of God. He was a member of Glad Tidings Church where he participated in the Cell Church Group. It was Tonys habit to call his mother and grandmother if he needed a ride to church related functions on a weekly basis. On April 12, 2015, God led Tony to Salem Baptist Church, Omaha NE, were he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and became a member. Tony loved reading his Bible; he carried the King James and the English Standard Versions of the Bible in his backpack at all times and read them while on breaks at work. Destined for greatness; God called Tony home on May 5, 2015. God blessed Tony with abundant talents. He loved writing, composing, and arranging music; a CD was also created based on his gift and love for music. Tony loved his two daughters, TaJiona Lanae and Sa'Niyah Lashay Reed. He loved his mother Keshia, his dad Lafayette, Jr., family, and friends. Important to note was that Tony had a very close and intimate bond with his brothers. He was crazy about grandma Marthas mac and cheese. Tonys mom, Keshia admits, she will miss him coming home everyday ringing the doorbell when he gets off work. Tony graduated from Omaha Public school district. In furthering his education he graduated from Youth Build Omaha, July 25, 2013. His work career included employment at the Command Center, Wal-Mart, and Home Depot. Tonys newfound mantra was to be able to work and come home. Tony was preceded in death by his grandfather Lafayette Reed, Sr. and cousin Etienne Burns. His cousin Diondre Mitchell joined him in death on May 5, 2015. He leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters Tajiona Lanea and Sa Sa'Niyah Lashay Reed. Tony is survived by his mother Keshia Rene Reed and his father Lafayette (Kaori) Reed, Jr., Hollywood, CA. Three sisters, Lafanique Reed, Lithonia, GA, Brittney Myles, and Precious Reed, Hollywood, CA. Four brothers Lafayette Markies Reed, Darnell Lamar Hadley, Brandon Maliek Reed and Ezekiel Reed, Hollywood, CA.
