Larry D. Puls

Larry D. Puls, age 78, of Council Bluffs passed away September 5, 2016.

He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 19, 1938 to the late Raymond and Bernice (Crink) Puls. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy and then attended the Radio Engineering Institute. He was active in the Westend Optimist Club, Southwest Iowa Special Olympics, CB Youth Soccer, COBRA Radio Airplane Club and longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Engel.

Larry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Berniece Puls; daughters, Evette Schoening (Tim) and Kerrie Powell; son, Cole Puls; sister, Jeanene Puls; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Larry Engel; sister-in-law, Dianna Brown; and brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Virginia Newland and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Garner Township Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
