Leota Rae Eittreim

Leota Rae Eittreim passed away at Mercy Hospital, Council Bluffs, on
Sunday, March 21, 2021.
Leota was born August 14, 1939, in Hamilton County, Iowa, the
youngest of five children born to Floyd Wilfred and Edith Marie
(McDonald) Jones. Leota grew up on a farm near Jewell, Iowa, where
she attended area schools. As a country girl, Leota had a life-long love
of horses.
David Merle Eittreim and Leota Rae Jones were united in marriage on
April 18, 1981, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. David and Leota enjoyed having
tea together many afternoons. They had no children.
Left to mourn her memory include husband, David, sister-in-law Judy
(Bill) Morgan, Sartell, Minnesota, and several nieces and nephews.
Leota is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Keith and Carroll,
and twin sisters, Mary Lou (Donald) Fisher, and Martha Mae (Louis)
McIntyre.
A memorial service honoring Leota will be held at a later date at
Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Council Bluffs, Rev. Leo Young
officiating. Internment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa, date
pending due to Cobid-19.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
