Michelle M. Garber

Michelle Marjorie Garber (Westover) of Glenwood, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

Michelle was born January 31, 1971, in Gorden, Nebraska to Rhett and Sherri (Fancher) Westover. Michelle attended Cody-Kilgore Unified Schools and graduated in 1989. Michelle attended nursing school in Alliance, Nebraska and graduated in 1992.

Michelle and Joel Garber were married on June 10, 1995, in Seward, Nebraska.

Michelle was preceded in death by her brother Beau Westover, grandmothers Lois Schmit and Frieda Ladley; grandfather Floyed Westover, and aunt Linda Homan.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Joel, son Blake (Liz) Garber and grandchildren Elenya and Bray, daughter Rebekah Garber, parents Rhett and Sherri Westover, brother Josh (Kayla) Westover, grandmother Sharron Westover, and her brother and sisters-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces.

A celebration of life will be held in Nenzel, NE at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the non-profit organization American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge in Iowa City. Hope Lodge provides a house for cancer patients and their families who travel for treatment. This charity was helpful to Michelle during all her long trips to Iowa City for chemo treatments and doctor visits.
