Mildred M. Carlson

Mildred M. Carlson, age 98, passed away February 3, 2022 at Bethany Heights.

Mildred was born December 28, 1923 to Thomas and Anna (Reese) Driver in rural Honey Creek, Iowa. She married Robert Carlson on September 9, 1945. They farmed near Neola, Iowa.

Mildred was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Honey Creek, Iowa and was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert (May 2002); great-grandson, Max Franzluebbers; brothers, infant Alvin Driver, Chester Driver, Eldon Driver; sisters, Mabel (Gordon) Axtel, Florence (Richard) Luschen and Betty (Arlon) O’Neill.

Survivors include daughter, Connie Franzluebbers and husband Tony of Dodge Nebraska; son, Jim Carlson and wife Denise of Neola, Iowa; daughter, Jane Andersen and husband Rich of Sioux City, Iowa; sister-in-law, Arlene Driver of Council Bluffs, Iowa; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, February 07, 2022. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church Honey Creek on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
Interment will be held at Neola Township Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church Honey Creek, Neola Fire and Rescue or the Neola Area Community Center.
