Miranda Jalynn Yates

Miranda Jalynn Yates, age 30, passed away September 12, 2022 at her home.

She was born November 27, 1991 in Okinawa, Japan to James and Michelle (Devereaux) Yates. She graduated from Burke High School in 2013. Miranda loved music, swimming, boys (flirting), family, her slippers, asking Google for the weather and the Animal of the day, going to Day Camp, winning at the Special Olympics and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

She was preceded in death by father, James Yates; grandparents, Fred and Mary Ann Yates and grandmother, Roxine Devereaux.

Miranda is survived by her mother, Michelle Devereaux (Jason Noble); brothers, Justin Yates (Tyler), Jeremy Yates and Jacob Yates; grandfather, Carlen Devereaux (Jan Springer); grandma great, Frances Lydon; uncle, Todd Devereaux (Joyce Grandoville); aunt, Mikki Goodman (Mike); niece, Jaylee Yates; nephews, Urijah and Brixton Yates and many other family and friends.

Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00pm Thursday, September 15, 2022 Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, 1221 N. 16th Street, Council Bluffs, IA.

Funeral Service: 1:00pm Friday, September 16, 2022 also at the funeral home.
