Nellie June Athay

Nellie June Athay, age 78, of Oakland, Iowa passed away April 25, 2018. She was born June 25, 1939 in Walker, Missouri to the late Samuel and Winella (Houchin) Semler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Athay II; brother, Fred Semler and stepson, William Athay III.

Nellie is survived by her daughter, Irene Reichart-Athay (Ron Wede); sons, Samuel Reichart (Connie) and Everett Reichart (Cindy); stepchildren, Peggy Athay and Bobby Athay; sisters, Wanda White (Jake), Linda Kajaula, Helen Slavinski, Faye Brooks (Daniel) and Dorothy Rookstool; brothers, Floyd Gross (Susan), Darell Gross and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
