Patricia Ann Montgomery

Patricia Ann Montgomery, age 80, passed away November 28, 2020 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 28, 1940 to the late Earl and Elnora (Leidig) Johnson. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1958. She married John Raymond Montgomery on June 25, 1961 and they were blessed with four children. She earned her nursing degree from Immanuel Hospital and worked at Jennie Edmundson Hospital until her last child was born in 1970.

Patricia was a long time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was very active in the Ladies Guild, Charity Circle making quilts, the Alter Guild and heading up the salad room for the annual Pork and Sauerkraut dinner. She also volunteered for many years in “The Closet” at Children’s Square USA.

Patricia is survived by her children and their spouses, Julia (Dale) Burris, Greg (Lisa) Montgomery, Dave (Roxanne) Montgomery, Jeff (Marcia) Montgomery; 10 grandchildren, Mike (Holly) Montgomery, Jen (Joe) Wilson, Dylan Montgomery, Ryan Montgomery, Allison (Philip Gilman) Montgomery, Morgan Montgomery, Alex Montgomery, Logan Montgomery, Cameron Burris, Connor (Kaitlin) Burris; great-grandkids, Sydney Wilson, Emma Wilson, Knoelle Burris, Sutton Burris; brother, Gary Johnson (Mark Kowalski); and a host of other family and friends.

Open viewing and visitation with no family present will be Tuesday, December 2nd, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Family will be present for visitation from 5:00-6:00 PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment is at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church.
