Reva M. Towers

Reva M. Towers, age 84, of Council Bluffs passed away December 13, 2014 at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Logan, Iowa on October 21, 1930 to the late Melvin & Bernice (Rockwell) Coontz. She graduated from high school and worked as a secretary. She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church and former member of the VFW Post #737 Ladies Auxiliary and AM Vets Auxiliary. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Malcolm. Reva is survived by her husband, Robert Towers; children, Stanley Malcolm (Vanessa), Steven Malcolm (Nancy), Roberta "Bertie" Plutschak (Mark), Rene Lunsford, Robert Towers, Jr. (Tangee); sister, Madelyn Ehlers; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Garner Township Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Broadway United Methodist Church.
