Robert Doy Hathaway Jr.

Robert Doy Hathaway Jr, age 68, of Shelby, IA, passed away on Saturday July 2, 2022.

He was born to Robert D Hathaway, Sr., and Julia Real on January 25, 1954. He worked as a Maintenance Mechanic and Maintenance Lead at various food manufacturing plants such as Texas Instruments, Campbell’s Soup and Plumrose and drove over the road semi-truck for years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tammy Hathaway; brother, Russell and brother-in-law, Bill

He is survived by 3 his children JayCie Chenoweth (Ryan) of Neola, IA, Austin Hathaway (Samantha) of Omaha, NE & Madison Hathaway of Neola, IA. He had 5 beautiful grandchildren Ryanne Chenoweth, JazzLynn Chenoweth, AnnaLee Hathaway, Grayson Hathaway & Trinity Hathaway. He is also survived by his siblings Tracy Hathaway (Barb), John Hathaway (Sam), Jeremy Hathaway (Becky), Tim Hathaway and De Proctor, Shanelle Fichter (Aaron), Marissa Hathaway and numerous cousins and friends.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our Dad, Popo, Brother and Friend. We know that he is watching us from heaven above. We love you!

A Celebration of Life will be held July 16, 2022 at Persia Fire Hall (3833 296th St Persia, IA 51563) at 3:00 p.m.
