Robert J. Wambold

Robert Jennings Wambold, age 89, passed away in Council Bluffs, IA on June 11, 2019.

He was born in Council Bluffs on July 26, 1930.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; and sister, Judy Cilla.

Robert served in the United States Air Force, was a member of the American Legion, Hawkeye Kiwanis, and the Masonic Temple. He retired from the US Post Office in 1990.

He is survived by his daughter, Robin(Bill) Copeland; sons, David Wambold, Brad(DJuana) Wambold, Matthew(Angela) Wambold; Grandchildren, Sarah (Brough) Pickerell, Courtney (Scott) Donoghue, Kyle (Ashtin) Wambold, Paige Wambold, Grant Wambold, Trisha (Zack) Magruder, Ashley Keller; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service is Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. A luncheon will follow services and the inurnment will be in the Garner Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
