Roger Ray Stokes

Roger Ray Stokes, age 61, of Fremont, NE passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018. He was born October 17, 1956 in Fremont to the late Jay Stokes Jr. and LaVerne (Lacey) Stokes.

Roger was an excellent mechanic, plumber and electrician.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry and Sam Stokes.

He is survived by life partner, Janette Rountree; children, Gene Stokes (Tricia), Earl Stokes, Janel Stokes, Robert Stokes (Caitlyn), and Ashley Stokes; step-daughter, Jessica; 20 grandchildren; sisters, Susan Gilmore-Stokes (Gene), Barbara Beal (Mike), Sherry Gay (Bob) and Jamie Kraus (Mark); twin brother, Rick Stokes (Chris) and brother, Mark Stokes; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, 2 p.m., at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home with dinner following the service at The Litehouse, 200 16th Ave., Council Bluffs. Memorials may be directed to the family.
