Scott P. Beckman

Scott Phillip Beckman 41, of Council Bluffs entered in to his eternal home on Saturday May 22, 2021 after his 2 1/2 years valiant battle with adrenal cancer surrounded by family and friends. Scott was born August 22, 1979 to Phillip and Nancy Beckman.

He was proceeded in death by his sister Lois Beckman and grandparents.

Survived by the Love of His Life Lisa(Larsen) Beckman, sons Dakota, Isaac, daughter Addison , dad Phillip, mom Nancy, sister Ginny Peterson(Lynn), Jenny Spencer(Tom) brother Michael Beckman(Jodie), nieces, nephews, and one great nephew.

He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He went to Iowa Western for general studies. Then transferred to Nebraska Methodist College where he graduated with Bachelor in Science in nursing. Later he went on to graduate from Nebraska Methodist College in Healthcare Operation Management.

He started his nursing career at Methodist Jennie Edmundson in Council Bluffs. He loved nursing and helping people. He eventually ended up in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Methodist Jennie Edmundson. He loved it there and excelled in the cath lab.

Scott achieved the rank of eagle scout. He served as a scout leader for many years. Being a role model in the lives of many young men.

Scott was a devoted husband and father. He loved his Heavenly Father, his family, and many other people, and being a nurse. Scott knew no strangers.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. He had served on a two year mission in Australia, Brisbane mission for his church.

Scott was big Cubs fan. He was able to go to two games in 2019 after his cancer diagnosis.

He was loved by family , friends, co-workers, and people in the church.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, May 28, 2021.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, May 29, 2021. The family will direct memorials.
