Terry Lynn Adams

Terry Lynn Adams passed away October 8, 2020 in the loving arms of her husband Richard of 47 years. Terry was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on March 30, 1955, to the late Matthew John and Dolores Spurlin.

Richard and Terry Adams (Spurlin) were married on November 24th, 1973. Terry and her loving husband enjoyed a life together that includes having three amazing children, Richard Adams Jr. (Tammy), Jennifer Lassek (Daniel), Sarah Adams (Corey). Through this loving union Terry and Richard have six grandchildren, Allison, Spencer, Adriana, Hayden, Major, and Faith.

Terry Adams was dedicated to her husband and was a doting and loving mother. She is the beloved sister of Dr. Jack Spurlin (Brenda), and her twin brother Jerry Spurlin (Jane). Terry was an avid quilter and had a witty sense of humor. She enjoyed sitting on the deck, watching Richard work in the yard. Terry drew great joy from spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. Words can not begin to adequately express how special this woman is to so many people, Terry has so many friends whom she loved dearly, you know who you are “buddy.”

In addition to being a faithful wife and wonderful mother, Terry enjoyed a successful business life. Terry graduated in 1972 from St. Edmonds Catholic School and in addition to raising a family had a rewarding professional career. Terry worked in the automotive industry for several years before earning her certification as a licensed health insurance producer. She was a successful Regional Sales Representative in Consumer Sales for Blue Cross/Blue Shield retiring in 2017.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home with the funeral beginning at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment will be in the Lewis Township Cemetery. Any memorials may be directed to the family to be dispersed in Terry’s name. The family asks that everyone in attendance please wear a mask.
