Bernice Mae Nielsen

Bernice Mae Nielsen, age 94, of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away November 24, 2018. She was born April 10, 1924 to Harry and Winnie Jenson in Boomer Township. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1941 she graduated from Underwood High School. She was employed at Lumber Village for 11 years and retired from the Pottawattamie County Treasurers Office in 1991.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Nielsen in 1996 after 53 years of marriage; daughter, Gloria Thomas; infant granddaughter, Jessica Thomas; grandson, Chase Randall; 2 brothers, Howard and Francis Jenson.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Heidi Randall; grandson, Niel Randall; granddaughter, Jennifer Vanecek; four great grandchildren, Anthony Vanecek, Joely Vanecek, Maxwell Randall and Tess Randall.

Visitation is Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral Service is Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment in the Grange Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
