Bonnie Lyon

Bonnie Lyon, age 78, passed away August 9, 2021.

She was born February 13, 1943 to the late Francis and Vera (Bodle) McMaster in Benton, KS. She graduated from Benton High School and was an administrative assistant for years until she retired in 2004. Bonnie was co-owner and ran the family towing & repair business with her husband for 40 years. She enjoyed driving classic cars, reading novels, crossword puzzles & cuddling her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lyon; siblings, Robert McMaster, Blaine McMaster, Lois Pierce, Colleen Morgan, and Gary McMaster.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Kelle (Todd) Erwin and Tracey (Ken) Butler; mother-in-law, Betty Lyon; sister, Vera (Calvin) Doss; grandchildren, Kenneth (Dana) Butler, Ashley Butler, Courtney Erwin, Trevor Erwin and Tucker Erwin; 8 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation is Thursday, August 19, 2021, 2:00-3:00 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The family will direct memorials.
