Carl Duane "Butch" Thompson

Carl D. Thompson Age 76 passed away January 17, 2023 in Heartwell, Nebraska. He was born on November 30, 1946 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Carl P. and Helen Thompson. Carl loved fishing, camping, racing, spending time with family and going to bingo with the girls. His favorite place to eat was called Margaritas where the family would go a lot. He was old school and would tell you just like it was, no filter and was very stubborn. Carl was a Marine in the Angels Unit and a Vietnam war veteran. He loved his dog Lucy who never left his side.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother and a sister.

Carl is survived by his son, Christopher Thompson (Desirae) and their three boys; daughter, Lindy Boland and her four kids; sisters, Judy Harris and Linda Sowl of Heartwell, NE.; brother, Terry Thompson (Cassiano), CA; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews but he had two very special nieces, Nancy Holmes and her three children and Charlee Burns (Shane) and their five children all from Nebraska; special cousins, Ed Jackson (Barb) and Eddie Madsen (Bev) from Crescent, IA.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2023 with Visitation at 10:00 AM at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home.

Interment with Military Honors at Hazel Dell Cemetery.
