Carolyn E. Depew

Carolyn E. Depew, age 93 of Council Bluffs passed away November 6, 2012. She was born May 19, 1919 in Malcom, Iowa to the late David & Vertie (Wright) Shadden. Carolyn was a retired school teacher. She taught first in Tama County, Iowa and retired in 1982 from the Lewis Central School System. Carolyn was also a longtime member of First Christian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin A. Depew; 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Carolyn is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Luanne Depew, Ronald and Ranae Depew; 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Visitation is Friday 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Saturday 10:00 a.m. at the Risen Son Christian Village. Interment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Risen Son Christian Village’s Memory Care Unit.
