Charles Ladon Troxel

Charles LaDon Troxel, age 75, died suddenly on July 23, 2014. He was born in Hanford, California in 1939 to the late Charles and Audrey (Couser) Troxel. He served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1961. Charles worked as an Operations Manager at Stanford University for 23 years where he met his wife Teresa (Porter) whose mother Joyce Oamek was from Crescent, Iowa. He retired with his wife to Crescent in 2003. He made and invented things in his shop often working with neighbors and friends. He made tools, equipment and implements for his wifes business, Iowana Farm. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Carole Long. Charles is survived by his wife Teresa L (Porter) Troxel; sons Charles L Troxel, Jr and his wife Courtenay and Curtis L Troxel and his wife Patricia; grandchildren Marissa, Paola, Jessica, Santiago and Charles L Troxel, III (Chase); father-in-law Dennis L Porter and wife June; sister-in-law Cynthia Porter Gehrie; brothers-in-law, Evan Long, Gary W Porter and his wife Karen; nieces, nephews and host of other family and friends. A memorial celebration will be at the family home at 17449 Badger Ave, Crescent, Iowa from 5 to 8 pm on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Family, neighbors and friends are welcome.
