Charles Leroy Skokan, Jr.

Charles L. Skokan Jr., age 65 of McClelland passed away December 14, 2011. He was born September 24, 1946 to Charles L. Sr. & Dorothy (Gradowski) Skokan. Charles worked for over 40 years in Public Works for the City of Council Bluffs. He was best known for his longtime role as Santa Clause. Charles loved music and played the accordion among other instruments for different groups and venues. Charles is survived by his wife, Anna (Watkins) Skokan; daughters, Charlotte Skokan; Shelley Bergantzel & her husband, Lloyd; son, John Skokan & his wife, Mindi; 4 grandchildren; parents Charles Sr. and Dorothy Skokan; sisters, Rose Marie, Cheryl Ann and Joan and brother Tom and wife Stefanie and a host of other family and friends. Visitation with family will be Sunday 2-4PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. Service is Monday 1030AM at the funeral home. Final place of rest will be near his home in the Hardin Township Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
