Daniel Parker Wills

December 30, 1949 — May 11, 2021

Daniel Wills, age 71, entered his heavenly home on May 11, 2021. He was born December 30, 1949 to Bruce and Rachael (Tomlin) Wills in Cairo, IL. Dan attended school in Frisco, Texas and graduated in 1967. Dan then entered the military and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Dan honorably served in Vietnam and received the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (w/Bronze Star) Vietnam Campaign Medal. When Dan left the military he was an E-5.
Daniel met Lonnie (Schnitker) and were married in 1972 in Omaha, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with five children. Danny, Melissa, Todd, Tim, Becky, twelve grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Throughout their 48 years of marriage Daniel worked many different careers to provide for his family and volunteered his time helping others. Daniel was an Omaha Police officer for 15 years, a salesman, and a pastor. Daniel retired as pastor from Chandler Acres Church in June 2018.

Daniel was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, son, loyal friend, but most of all a servant of God. Daniel’s careers, service in the military, police department, and various other skills he obtained, guided him during his calling to help others to know that God Loves them. Above everything, Daniel wanted to let others know that change is possible when you believe that Jesus died on the cross for them.
