David Andrew Podendorf

David Andrew Podendorf, age 68, passed away May 10, 2020.

He was born on October 13, 1951 to the late Morris and Helen (Sorenson) Podendorf in Council Bluffs, Iowa. David graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1969. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In 1974, he was honorably discharged and later attended Buena Vista and University of Northern Iowa where he earned his Master’s Degree in Education. He was member of the Theater’s Art Guild and the sound design and operator at the Chanticleer.

David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Dawn Podendorf, Sarah Olney and Seth Podendorf; grandchildren, Maxwell Olney, Zoe Olney and McKinney Podendorf; a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service is May 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Inurnment is in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
