Dorothy G. Thomas

Dorothy G. Thomas, age 97, passed away August 17, 2014. She was born July 24, 1917 near McClelland, Iowa to the late Otto & Elsie (Stange) Cohrs. Dorothy graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School with the class of 1934. She was a member of the Bluffs Arts Council, the Brush & Palette China Painters Club and was a longtime member of the Jennie Edmundson Auxiliary. She was also a member of St. John United Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Shorty Thomas; daughters, Patti Thomas and Judy Jenson; brother, Donald Cohrs. Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren and their spouses, Wendy & Alan Matson, Jim & Kiley Jenson, Tami Jenson & Patrick Sondag; sister-in-law, Leta Cohrs; son-in-law, Marlin Jenson and his wife Julie; great grandchildren, Olivia, Maura, Brinley and Rhett. Visitation is Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Thursday 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment in the Grange Cemetery.
