Earl Eugene Brandenburg

Earl E. Brandenburg, age 91 of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away April 26, 2013 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson. He was born June 29, 1921 in Ute, Iowa to the late John & Sylvia (Gries) Brandenburg. Earl served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He retired from the U.S. Postal service in 1989. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 7 siblings. Earl is survived by his wife, Katherine Brandenburg; daughter, Connie Reichardt; son and daughter-in-law, Rep. Mark Brandenburg and his wife, Debbie; brother, Clifford Brandenburg (Kathy); sister, Ione Zabava; 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. Visitation is Sunday 1-3PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Monday 10AM at the funeral home. Interment is in the Garner Township Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
