Elsie Davis

December 10, 1944 — September 13, 2020

Elsie “Amanda” Davis, aged 75, passed away September 13, 2020, in Bellevue, Nebraska.

She was born in Rhynie, Scotland to the late John Wall and Jeannie McHardy on December 10, 1944. She served in the British Army, reaching the rank of Lieutenant. After completing her service in the British Army, Amanda loved to travel the world in her free time. One such excursion led to her journey of motherhood. Becoming a mother was Amanda’s proudest moment, second only to becoming a grandma. Amanda’s love for her family and friends was greater than the North Sea. Amanda wore her Scottish heritage proudly, reminding everyone, “You can take the girl out of Scotland, but you can’t take Scotland out of the girl!” Over the last few years, Amanda’s favorite past time was learning about different animals on Natgeo, with her greatest enjoyment being spending quality time with Rocco.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Aunt Mary and Uncle Duncan Durnow; sister Mags Lindsay.

She is survived by sons Raymond “RJ” Davis and Shane (Mindy) Davis; Partner Mike Boruff; step children Josh (Tracy) Boruff and Crystal (Nick) Keiser; 11 grandchildren; and numerous close friends and family.
