Evelyn L. Cox

Evelyn L. Cox, age 91 passed away September 23, 2012 at the Denison Care Center in Denison, Iowa. She was born in Mahaska, Kansas on July 11, 1921 to the late Harold and Mary (Helena) McKeever. She lived the majority of her life in the Midwest and after retiring as a Realtor, she moved to Albuquerque 22 years ago. She touched the lives of many people and will be sadly missed by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy McKeever; sister-in-law, Elsie McKeever. Evelyn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Bill Smith, Joyce and Bob Rounds, Marilyn Punky and Tom Brown; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Carol Comeau; grandchildren, Cheri Thomas, Shelly Valdiserri, Mike Rounds, Brian Rounds, Brad Rounds, Gregg Rounds, Jennifer Hass, Joey Holderness, great grandchildren, Jacob Thomas, Julie Thomas, Micah Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Samantha Valdiserri, Rachel Valdiserri, Hannah Rounds, Casey Rounds, Ty Rounds, Ava Rounds, Taylor Maria Rounds, Carson Rounds, Noelle Hass, Ally Hass, Isabella Hass, Brianna Holderness and Eric Holderness; special nephews, Mike and Mark McKeever. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with a Memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Paul Sabus, Elder from the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to your favorite charity or the Boy’s and Girl’s Club.
