Florence A. Cross

Florence Ann Cross, 100 years, passed away April 9, 2021 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She was born in Neola, Iowa on September 13, 1920 to the late Garrett and Ellen (McDonald) Schnitker.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; daughter, Jolene; son, Arlen; and 14 siblings.

She is survived by her children, Joyce (Charles) Vacanti, Jeanie (Gary) Gardner, Janice Cross, Francis Cross (Sue Summerfield), JoAnn (Calvin) Petersen; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

There will be a vigil service at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, April 12, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. followed by a visitation until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass is Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Neola, Iowa. She will be interred in the Neola Township Cemetery. Memorials will be directed by the family.
