Fred Bixby Howard

Fred B. Howard, age 87, of Council Bluffs passed away September 27, 2015 at CHI Mercy Hospital. He was born in Clay Center, Nebraska on September 19, 1928 to the late Fred and Mae (Archerd) Howard. Fred retired from Egan Supply as a warehouse manager. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Freida Hackett and Mary Ann LaDue; brother, John Howard. Fred is survived by his wife of 64 years, Delores Howard; children, Pamela Duval (Scott), Fred Bixby Howard III (Sue), Linda Anderson (Rodney), Mark Howard (Renne), Douglas Howard, Brian Howard (Cindy), Rhonda Hall (Bobby); sister, Ruth Medinger; 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Visitation is 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Wednesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 10:00a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment is in the Fisher Cemetery, Underwood, Iowa. The family will direct memorials.
