Gary H. Emmons

Gary H. “Billy Goat” Emmons, age 67, passed away in Council Bluffs on March 17, 2017, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Council Bluffs on June 11, 1949 to the late Charles Emmons and Nadine (Walker) Stark.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley Lynn Kilmer; former spouse, Doris Ballard; sister, Michelle Bartlett; brother, Rodney Frieze.

He is survived by his daughters, Andena Kilmer, Jennifer Lundvall (Jim); sons, Gary Emmons Jr., Michael Frieze (Sarah), Christopher Shawn Emmons (Berniece); former spouse, Toni Lynn Emmons; siblings, Ricky Frieze, Nancy Wilson (Gerald), Camden Frieze (Dawn), Wilbur Stark (Mary), Valynn Knuth (Junior), Cheryl Holmes, Lucinda Bigelow, Charles Stark (Donna), Terry Stark (Paulette), Bobby Stark (Lynette), Josetta Green (James), Esther Jerrett (John), Raymond Stark; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

Visitation is Monday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Garner Township Cemetery with a luncheon to follow in the community room at the funeral home. The family will direct memorials.
