Izola Ruth Petty

Izola Ruth Petty, age 94 of Council Bluffs passed away March 27, 2012. She was born June 21, 1917 in Decatur County, Iowa to the late Clemon & Jettie (Vaughn) Lane. She worked for many years as cashier at Kresge?s Department Store. Izola was a member of El Bethel Assembly of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Petty; 3 sisters; 1 brother. Izola is survived by her sons, Edward Petty & his wife, Karen; Chester Petty; Clem Petty & his wife, Delores; Robert Petty; brother and sister-in-law, Miles & Gwen Lane; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita & Kenny Gilbert; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation is Friday 6-8PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral service is Saturday 11AM at the funeral home. Interment is in the Garner Township Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
