Jack E. Lang

April 13, 1940 — October 5, 2021

Jack Edward Lang, age 81, went to be with his Lord October 5, 2021. Jack was born April 13, 1940. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1959, while there he met his future wife, Kathy Souser. Jack always loved sports, excelling in basketball and baseball at TJ. He remained involved in sports into his adulthood playing baseball and later coaching several winning teams and youth basketball baseball and soccer. Jack worked at Standard Oil Pipeline and Griffin Pipe before retiring from Vickers Hydraulics where he was a production control coordinator. Jack and Kathy were blessed with three children Michael Jack, Linda Michelle and Craig Curtis. Jack was a wonderful and loving husband who adored his family.

Jack was preceded in death by his youngest son, Craig Curtis; his parents, Edward and Beatrice Lang; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Lucille Souser; his infant twin sister, Jo Ann; brother-in-law, Norman Whiteley and Jim Holcomb; sisters-in-law, Roxine Devereaux and Sandra Beaman; nephews, Doug Hanke, Michael Holcomb and Rick Wilson.

Jack is survived by his wife, Kathy; his son, Mike (Connie) Lang; daughter, Lynn (Fermin) Tamayo; daughter-in-law, Lisa (Mark) Hammer; sisters, Doris Whiteley and Nancy Hanke; sister-in-law, Jacquie (Pat) Maguire; brother-in-law, Carlin Devereaux; grandchildren, Jami Isenhour, Stephanie Lang, Eric (Ona) Lang, Randi Manchester, Katie (Keith) Shannon, Zachary Lang, Alyssa (Alex) Shriver, Kylie (Casey) Elbin, Kelley and Kerrey Healey; 15 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, nieces nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Jack had many wonderful friends who stood by him throughout his illness, supporting him and praying for him. His children were always near, giving overwhelming love and care to both him and Kathy.
Jack was a member of Hillside Bible Fellowship, formerly Valleyview Baptist Church. Jack's favorite Bible verse was, Acts 16:31- Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved.

Funeral service is at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Interment is in Garner Township Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
