James G. Hilz

James G. Hilz, age 58, of Council Bluffs passed away November 8, 2015 at Nebraska Medicine. He was born September 18, 1957 to the late James and Theol (Carter) Hilz. Jim graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and had worked at Union Pacific Railroad for a number of years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Leona Stortz. Jim is survived by his wife, Marianna Hilz; children, Jason & Stephanie Hilz, Jamie & Kevin Mullen, Sarah & Shane Anzalone, Jonathan & Katelyn Hilz; brother and sister-in-law, Steven & Valerie Hilz; grandchildren, Jacoby and Sloane; beloved dog, Sasha; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and go in procession to Garner Township Cemetery for a graveside service beginning at 2:00 p.m. The family will direct memorials.
